Life Workbench + Quality Red Lines
Generate your own life workbench from an Inspiration Library template, with three follow-up modification moves; 3 universal red lines + 2 life-scenario red lines; tool selection reference and closing.
What This Note Is
The first two lessons ran through the 5 cases. This lesson wraps up: bringing the outputs of those cases — ledger, schedule, habits, shopping list — into one place: a life workbench that belongs to your own home.
Finally, we go over the quality red lines once more: the things AI must never do for you.
Generate My Life Workbench
Quick start: Inspiration Library → template → pick one → duplicate in one click
The idea is simple: copy a finished page first, then change the content to what you need.
- Open the Inspiration Library
- Pick a template — find one close to your own situation
- Duplicate it in one click
- Make it your own
No need to build from zero — a finished page built by someone else is much faster to adapt than to build.
Advanced (optional): follow-up modification moves (improve as you use)
After the first version is generated, keep asking in plain language and let it improve step by step. The three moves demonstrated in class:
- Add a payment reminder: 'Add a credit-card payment reminder — alert me on the homepage 3 days before the due date'
- Add a bookkeeping calendar: 'Add a calendar view — mark how much was spent each day right on the date'
- Change the color scheme: 'Change the overall palette to navy blue and gold for a more premium feel'
Note that none of these modification instructions is a 'professional prompt' — it's just normal talking. A workbench is a living thing; improving it while using it is the norm.
Finished Examples (shown in class, not built live)
- Personal bookkeeping desk (the finale piece of this course): income/expense records, category statistics, budget management, monthly reports, account management; after the three follow-up modifications it also gained a payment reminder and a bookkeeping calendar, in navy blue + gold
- Daily life workbench: today's overview, bookkeeping & finance, habits & health, fat-loss & fitness, schedule & to-buy, books/movies/music log
Quality Red Lines (3 Universal)
- AI fabricates with a straight face: numbers, dates and names must be verified yourself — it sounds just as confident when it is wrong
- Never feed confidential or sensitive information: desensitize first, or don't input it at all — what you feed out cannot be taken back
- Output is not the final draft: the one who signs off is you, and the one responsible is you — give it one last pass before sending
Life-Scenario Red Lines
- Family financial information is sensitive: before feeding bill screenshots to AI, mask card numbers, account numbers and addresses; when unsure, type the amount by hand
- Health output is for reference only: menus, health reminders and pre-visit question lists cannot replace a doctor — for medication and treatment, the doctor's word is final
These 5 red lines map to this course's 5 cases: verify the numbers in your ledger (line 1), desensitize bill screenshots first (line 4), doctors have the final say on medical materials (line 5) — the red lines are not scare tactics; they are real pitfalls in every case.
Closing
Three things to take away:
- A set of life prompts — one for each of the 5 cases, copy and use
- A family ledger — four roads into one ledger, always up to date
- A life workbench — one-click from the Inspiration Library, made your own
Remember: AI will not live your life for you, but it can remember, organize and prepare for you. Hand over the chores, and keep your time and energy for the people and things that truly matter.
Appendix: Tool Selection Reference
| Tool | Best for | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| WorkBuddy | Full pipeline: bookkeeping → review → workbench | The main tool of this course; phone-computer sync; the ledger stays up to date |
| Any AI chat tool | One-off tasks (case prompts copy over as-is) | The prompt formula is universal — any tool works |
| Templates (Inspiration Library) | Quick start on workbenches | Find a similar template, duplicate in one click, make it your own |
5 Case Walkthroughs: Full Prompt Sets
Family bookkeeping (four roads into one ledger) → medical visit management → healthy eating & weekly menus → shopping comparison → family trip planning (two steps) — the complete prompt for every case, ready to copy.
Assignment: Run AI Through Your Own Life Scenarios
From reproducing the in-class cases, to running your family's most relatable scenario with real materials, to building a life workbench of your own — three progressive levels.
